According to the reports, British minister Oliver Dowden said in recent meeting, that the government should ban Tik Tok on all government devices. As it has a high risk, that the data can be leak through these apps.
Tik Tok is a platform where people can make videos and earn likes and badges. In India, the government already banned this application, due to high risk of data sharing. UK government is thinking same, it can help to protect the confidential data.
Further they tweeted, “We’re moving to a system where government devices will only be able to access third party apps that are on a pre-approved list,”.
“We are also going to ban the use of Tik Tok on government devices. We will do so with immediate effect”.
