Anvee Bhutani, a Indian girl have become the Student Union President of Oxford. She won the election by voting, the students of the university have chosen her.
An Indian-origin Human Sciences student from Magdalen College at the University of Oxford has been declared the winner at the end of a Student Union (SU) byelection.
On Thursday the result of the election was announced. Anvee Bhutani is also the Co-Chair Campaign for Racial Awareness and Equality (CRAE) at Oxford SU and President of the Oxford India Society.
Her tenure would of 1 year, 2021- 2022 academic year. Her election manifesto was mostly related to the campaigning for the implementation of the Oxford living wage, delinking welfare services and disciplinary action, and diversifying the curriculum.
