The Chief Minister Of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has recently made a demand to the central government. And the demand is related to the recognition of COVID warriors in the medical field.
The outbreak of the COVID-19 disease has to be one of the worse pandemics ever. India has been severely affected by the first and second waves of the virus.
The primary people who came to our rescue during these tough times were undoubtedly the medical workers. Without them, the battle with this unseen enemy would not have been possible.
So to give them their deserved recognition, Arvind Kejriwal has demanded India’s highest civilian award i.e the Bharat Ratna to the people of the medical fraternity.
The CM of Delhi has written to the Prime Minister of India for that matter. He has appealed that Bharat Ratna should be collectively conferred to the entire medical fraternity.
Because they truly deserve it. The medical workers included doctors, nurses etc have worked day and night to fight the pandemic. Many of them have even lost their lives to COVID. Therefore to recognize their work, they deserve this civilian award.
Kejriwal has asked PM Modi to make some changes in the criteria this time and confer Bharat Ratna to all the medical workers of the country. The Prime Minister is yet to respond to Kejriwal’s appeal.
