Aung San Suu Kyi jailed for next 4 years

Aung San Suu Kyi who is an Ousted Myanmar leader will be in jail for the upcoming four years statement was given by the court in Myanmar.

Due to her illegal possession, breaking the rules and regulations of Covid-19, and import of walkie-talkies she is convicted. Earlier she was convicted in the month of December and given a reduced jail sentence of two years.

Aung San Suu Kyi has been arrested since the February military coup and is facing a slew of accusations, all of which she rejects. Her trials have been highly criticized as being unjust.

The accusations in the newest case derive from a search of her home by soldiers headed by army leader General Min Aung Hlaing on the day of the coup. The devices they claim to have discovered are assumed to have been deployed by her security guards, resulting in a conviction largely seen as little more than a ploy to justify her detention.
