Canada sends Covid-19 supplies in India

Canada helps India and sends Covid-19 supplies. Sources says that on Wednesday a Canadian Armed Forces aircraft will send medication and ventilators to India.

Canada have said that it will help India to combat the virus. The shipment that is being sent via a CC-150 Polaris aircraft from 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base Trenton and will include 25,000 vials of the anti-viral remdesivir as well as 50 ventilators.

The decision was taken in a virtual conference between the external affairs minister S Jaishankar and his Canadian counterpart Marc Garneau on the margins of the ongoing G7 Foreign Ministers’ meet in London.

Just that conference the news came out that Canada is going to send around 350 ventilators to India. The government of Canada is also trying to provide help from UNICEF’s response to the pandemic in India. Along with this Canadian Red Cross Society has donated $10 million which is going to help the Red Cross Society of India to get essential supplies and medicines.
