Delhi Government takes all necessary step check black fungus cases

Delhi Government is going to take all necessary steps to check cases of black fungus or mucormycosis in the city says Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi. He also added that they will also talk about the precautions.

Mucormycetes, it is a group of moulds which is present naturally in the environment, it is the main cause of the fungal infection. Delhi Government says that the Cases of Black Fungus is increasing rapidly in several states and Delhi is one of them.

“For the black fungus (cases), the Delhi government will take all the steps and precautions necessary,” Kejriwal said in a statement. On May 9, a advisory released says that the disease is curable if one takes acre properly. Also it might turn fatal l if it is not taken care of.

The fungal infection mainly harms those people who are already suffering from some kind of disease and taking medication for that. So, it reduces their ability to fight environmental pathogens.

The Chairman of the ENT department at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dr. Ajay Swaroop says that the infection is mostly found in those patients who have successfully recovered from Covid-19 but have comorbidities such as diabetes, kidney or heart failure, or cancer.
