The State Government announced today that NSW Health Secretary Elizabeth Koff has resigned. Ms Koff worked for the state’s health system for 30 years, including six years as its senior secretary.
She led NSW Health’s pandemic response, which included testing centres, vaccination clinics, hospital operations, and the creation of mechanisms for clinical expert advisory groups to provide direction and assistance.
Elizabeth Koff will step down from her position on March 4, 2022. Health Minister Brad Hazzard commended Ms Koff for her service and excellent leadership in a statement posted this morning.
“At times of extreme stress, she has led and supported the most excellent executive health team and broader health teams,” Mr Hazzard said. “The NSW Government expresses its gratitude to her for her vision and leadership.”
