Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has confessed that he is “not convinced” his takeover offer for Twitter would be successful. He made the remarks at a press conference only hours after declaring that he had made an offer to purchase the company for $54.20 per share, valuing it at $43 billion.
Also on Thursday, Twitter’s CEO informed staff that the firm was reconsidering the strategy. At the employee meeting, Parag Agrawal allegedly stated that the offer was not “holding hostage” the firm.
Elon Musk stated at the TED2022 conference in Vancouver, “I am not convinced if I will really be able to buy it.” He went on to say that if his offer for Twitter was denied, he had a “Plan B,” although he didn’t elaborate.
At the occasion, Mr. Musk also stated that Twitter should be more open and transparent. “I believe it is critical that there be an inclusive space for free expression,” he stated.
