Jonna Andersson, a defender for Chelsea, will depart the club at the end of the season to join Swedish club Hammarby IF. Andersson joined Chelsea in the middle of the 2017/18 season.
She has had three Women’s Super League championships, two FA Cups, two Continental League Cups, and the Community Shield to her name since then. “Jonna Andersson has been an incredible professional during her time with us,” Chelsea manager Emma Hayes said, according to the club’s website.
“[She has been] important in our success,” Hayes remarked. Her dedication to our squad has been incredible.” I have no doubt she’ll keep improving until the conclusion of the season, and we’ll make sure she gets the send-off she deserves.”
Chelsea is still in contention for the WSL and FA Cup this season, and the Sweden international stated that she is entirely committed on assisting the team in securing silverware.
“I’m really looking forward to the remaining few weeks and games with Chelsea,” the 29-year-old stated. “We have two titles to contend for, and I want to finish the season on top.” “I’d want to conclude with two more titles.” “I’m looking forward to the last games, and that’s where my attention is.”
