Lee Selby retires from boxing

Wales’ 12th and most recent world champion boxer, Lee Selby, has declared his retirement from the sport. The 35-year-old made the news on social media after losing by stoppage to Gustavo Lemos in Argentina last month, the first time in his career.

From 2015 through 2018, Selby held the world IBF featherweight championship. “I leave the ring with no regrets, happy, healthy, and a financially stable family,” he wrote.
