“Poldark” a period drama series by BBC One has entertained us with five amazing seasons. Making its debut in 2015 it has dropped back-to-back seasons with Poldark Season 5 dropping in 2019. It has been almost two years since we haven’t heard from the makers about the sixth season but our anticipation is not over yet!
“Poldark” Season 6: Release Date
The BBC Network has given us some legendary shows and series which we can never forget and Poldark is one among them. This period drama series has managed to win our hearts for its amazing concept and its execution.
The series went on air in 2015 and has won several accolades in different categories. Its fifth season aired in 2019 but it left us with a hope that another season would be there soon.
But we know that this series has been adapted from a novel by Winston Graham and looking at all the five seasons, it seems like the entire plot of the first series of the novel has been covered.
There is very little chance that the makers will do that and distort the concept of the original novel. But another twist to this is that Graham has written a total of 12 books and the series has covered only 7. Although the rest of the books shift from Poldark’s story to his next generations.
So if BBC One renews the series we can get to see another season with a completely different plotline. Let us hope for the best.
“Poldark” Season 6: Plot
This historical drama series sheds light on the life of a war soldier named Caption Ross Vennor Poldark who was an integral part of the American War of Independence.
He finds his life in a complete mess as he returns from the war. Poldark discovers that his father has died, he lost his lover to his cousin, and many more. With time he falls in love with another woman and marries her.
But life was full of struggle for him on his professional and personal front. “Poldark” basically dealt with how wars messed up with the lives of individuals back then. This series is nothing but a saga of pain, agony, despair, love, broken ties, and separation.
