Amazon Prime is known for its amazing series and “The Marvelous Mrs Maisel” is such a series that has earned immense appreciation worldwide. Debuting in 2017 the series has had three successful seasons so far!
One of the most love Amazon Prime series, “The Marvelous Mrs Maisel” indeed has something marvellous to it. With its last three seasons, it has managed to make a mark as one of the best series produced by the OTT platform.
As mentioned earlier the first season of the series was dropped in 2017 followed by the second and third season in 2018 and 2019 respectively. And now it has been a year since the fans have been waiting to see Mrs Maisel again on screen. In other words we are eagerly awaiting the fourth instalment of this series.
We know that the third season was dropped on Amazon Prime on December 6, 2019, and it increased our anticipation for the fourth season. As we were waiting for the renewal announcement, the COVID pandemic affected the entire world thus put a halt to the production of many series including Mrs Maisel.
It was in December 2020 when the series was finally renewed and we all had a sigh of relief. So as per close sources, the filming of the upcoming season started in January 2021 and is going on at full pace. We know that the previous seasons were released in December, therefore we can expect the fourth instalment to grace our screens by December 2021.
The success of any movie or series firstly depends on its storyline or plot. And even in this case, the storyline deserves all the applause. Amazon Prime has beautifully told us the story of Miriam Midge Maisel who struggles to create her own identity in a world full of sexism and misogyny.
From being a naive dedicated housewife we witnessed Midge’s journey to becoming an independent stand up comedian in an era where women were expected to stay under men.
After being deceived by her husband our strong protagonist did not give up and stood up for herself. In the previous season we saw her struggle to cope up with her heartbreak and of course dealing with the society’s judgements.
So the fourth season of “The Marvelous Mrs Maisel” will shed light on how Midge deals with all the obstacles in her life and makes it beautiful in her own way.
