Twitter has finally announced its new verification process application process, beginning with six categories, and review public applications globally. It will help the users to get the blue badge.
The six categories which is available in the verification process are
- Entertainment, Sports, gaming
- Government and organization
- Journalists and news organizations
- Brands and organizations
- Organizers and other influential individuals.
- Activists
Twitter has said that by the next year the company is going to introduce some new categories for verification. which might include scientists, academics and religious leaders many more. By the next week the users will be able to start the verification process on Twitter. It is going to be available in the account setting on the users account.
“We’re gradually rolling it out to everyone to ensure that we can review applications in a timely manner,” the company said in a blog post. Once the application is submitted, the applicants can expect an emailed response within a few days, but this could take up to a few weeks depending on how many open applications are in the queue.
The company has said that once the application of the users would be accepted then the user would be able to see the blue badge on their profile automatically. They also said that if the users think that the company has made nay mistake then they can again send the varification application after 30 days of getting the decision on the previous application.
