Will BoJack Horseman be back for season 7?

BoJack Horseman quickly became a very popular show to pull quotes from. The show has been successful in portraying the wit and sardonic humour of a person who deals with routine challenges. In January 2020, the finale of the last season was premiered. The future of the show as season 7 seems unlikely as there are no plans to renew the series.

BoJack Horseman Cast

If Netflix renews the show for another season, and that is a big ‘if’, the cast of the show will be as follows:

  • Will Arnett will be seen as BoJack Horseman
  • Aaron Paul will play Todd Chavez
  • Alison Brie in the character of Diane Nguyen
  • Paul F. Tompkins as Mr. Peanutbutter
  • Amy Sedaris in the role of Princess Carolyn

Rumours suggest that the show might be picked up by some other platform, but no partnership by the creators has been reported.

Season 6 was the proper ending.

The fans would be even more eager to have another season if the creators didn’t give a proper send-off to the characters in season 6 finale. Nevertheless, the demand for another season has been soaring.

With no official corroboration, all we know is that the season 6 of BoJack Horseman was the last season for the show. Until and unless we get a proper announcement from the creators, we will just be assuming for something very unlikely.

Any chance for Season 7?

BoJack Horseman was loved and appreciated by viewers and critics alike. For the show, 6 seasons had been super successful and even garnered a number of awards for great performances in the show by the actors and creators.

Premiering for the first time on August 22, 2014 and was faring well till the very last episode which aired on January 31, 2020, the show ran for a total of 77 episodes. The creator of the show Bob Waksberg stated in an interview that the decision to cancel the show was of the streaming platform, Netflix back in 2019.

“I said [to Netflix] I would appreciate it if I could have the forewarning to give the show a proper finale, and not set up some cliffhangers that will never pay off,” Bob-Waksberg said. “When [Netflix] picked up season six, they said, ‘Hey, remember how you asked for that heads-up? We think that this is your heads-up. So, I’m very grateful that we got that notice.”

Netflix wanted to end BoJack Horseman after season 5, but thankfully fans weren’t left out to dry and the show was given a proper goodbye. It looks like the rest of us, the creator of the show also didn’t want the show to come to an end!
